I went out and purchased ANOTHER 1 TB MyPassport and now IT IS beginning to have clicking sounds. Am having problems with WD support and in one email, they incorrectly used another MyPassport serial number from one that I purchased. After I disconnected the problem MyPassport, then the boot up times returned to normal. The 1TB was for my XP machine and not realize that the computer would take 20 minutes to go through the POST. It got to the point that it froze up my computer system and could not access any of my programs or even the directory UNTIL I disconnected the drive and suddenly everything started working normally. I think WD received faulty parts from overseas.
